you could soothe a person’s wound, and you could gently caress it. but you can never “unhurt” a person.

you could say you’re sorry, and you can beg for forgiveness. but the wound will never go away.

you could cover up a person’s wound, pretend it’s not there. but it doesn’t negate the fact that there is a wound.

and you could love the person so very much, and still have the wound gaping at its edges.

think, before you open your mouth to say something. words spoken, can never be taken back.

likewise, a person, once hurt, will never be whole again.
